Fueling to get the most out of your performance doesn't have to be complicated - and that's my specialty. I have over 20 years of experience helping athletes of all levels optimize their nutrition, no mater what their current relationship with food looks like - from picky eating to disordered eating patterns, my goal is to help you feel confident and fueled, and to enjoy how delicious nutrition can be!
My specialty areas of practice include performance nutrition, eating disorders/disordered eating, and wellness.
I also enjoy working with families to build healthy habits for the entire family.

Being one of the only certified eating disorder specialist supervisors working full time in the collegiate setting offers me unique perspective, fully understanding the rigor and demand that collegiate athletes face. I'd love to work with you on attaining your supervised hours and to work through some of the more challenging cases together!
If you're a registered dietitian specializing in sports performance and want mentoring along the way, I'd love to help! I have worked both as a consultant, and a full-time collegiate sports dietitian, and have had the opportunity to build a world-class performance nutrition program, mentoring dietitians and learning a lot in the process.
Building and scaling programs for sports nutrition is a passion of mine - so much that I spent several years with working with colleagues to co-author a paper about the topic! You can read it here:

If you are looking to build, scale, or re-build your sports nutrition program, I'd love to provide consultation on the best way to do that to ensure you meet your goals and that of the organization.
If you are looking for other sports nutrition expertise,
please reach out to discuss!
When I discovered my love for nutrition in college, I knew immediately that I wanted to be a sports dietitian - I don't know how, it wasn't a very popular career at that time in the late 90's, but something in me knew that's what I wanted to do. I started out working in other jobs in the field of nutrition, while building my 1st dream job - my private practice - on the side. I worked with athletes of all levels and with clients struggling with eating disorders and disordered eating - and I loved it. I got an opportunity to consult one day a week at the University of Texas (UT) Athletics and continued to build my expertise and skills as sports dietitian, and ultimately had the opportunity for my 2nd dream job - Assistant Athletics Director for Performance Nutrition at UT, where I've been since 2012. I get to work with the most talented athletes, coaches and staff in the country and I continue to be challenged to be world-class in my work there.
Amy Culp Nutrition is my side-hustle, allowing me to use my experience and passion to serve an even broader audience while I still do my dream job at UT. I'm so grateful.
I live in a suburb of Austin with my husband (Yancy), our two beautiful children (Lily & Scout) and our fur babies (Sammy & Jackie). I get to the beach every chance I get. My favorite weekend includes working out and sharing a meal and conversation around the table with loved ones. Cheers!
